Volunteers will be needed to help in Field Marshall, Set Up/Take Down and Environmental teams. This is an outdoor event so please be prepared for the weather. Please review the attached volunteer job description for further details and available shifts.

Position Title Nations Cup Event Crew
Purpose of the Position To perform specific duties assigned by the Event Crew Supervisor to assist with the operation of the Nations Cup soccer tournament.
Responsibilities and Activities 1. Field Marshall – reporting information from game officials including game score, goal scorers and cards to event officials as well as being responsible for delivering / retrieving match balls.
2. Set Up/Take Down – assisting with the morning set-up and evening set down of the venue.
3. Enviro – providing on-going waste and recycling services around the venue.
Date / Time of the Event July 19th - 21st, 2024, Friday 3:30 - 10:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Site Locations Outdoors at Hugh Boyd Park / Minoru Park / South Arm
Working Conditions Must be able to work outdoors in hot weather and be prepared for rain and or sun.

Additional Information about the position An understanding of soccer tournaments and how they run would be an asset.

Skills, experience, abilities required Previous event experience an asset
Basic knowledge of soccer is required for Field Marshals
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
Personal traits / qualities Pleasant personality, organized, takes direction well
Education / Qualifications Required Minimum grade 10
Languages English
Additional language is an asset
Training required for the position 1 Hour Orientation Meeting
Minimum Time Commitment expected 8 hours
